Opening Reception- Bob Slaven
· Raised $400 for the ceremony - donors will be recognized on the invitation and at the ceremony
· The invitation is virtually ready
· Invitees - those receiving the newsletter
· Trustees and directors of the local historical societies
· Selected group taken from the historical societies, yacht club and Blue Hill Congregational Church
· This should result in a significant increase in membership and participants.
· Same group can be invited to Ship model exhibit, annual meeting and annual campaign
RSVPs will be included
Timeline
· invitations sent by first week in June
· Event takes place on June 27th
· Badge will coordinate board members to attend and staff the rooms.
· No solicitations, but accept voluntary contributions
· Not pushing sales in the store
· We can give away some post cards
· Wine, punch. nibbles.

· Carol's article will appear in the newsletter - she read it to the board EDITS - Change Rev. to Parson
· Question about Gary Vencil (who just arrived) whether he might do an interpretation. There will be a new installation of a Congregational Minister that day.

Maintenance
· need to look into whether the alarm is calling 911 -it should not
· lawn - need to delegate mowing decisions to someone
· might mow paths rather than fields
· Linda Elder should be called about
· Bill will contact scouts about whether they would do a clean-up with supervision.

· thermostat on the existing air conditioner may be bad.

Management
· Jonathan Ashcroft has not responded to our invitation to work this summer.
· We will need to negotiate what kinds of jobs he will want to do
· Bill is concerned about combining the roles of manager and interpretive guide.
The Holt House will be open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
We discussed whether we will open six days.
Bill moved that the house be open Monday - Saturday - motion passed.
Need to decide how many people need to be here at one time.
Tuesday is suspended until the fall.
Bob Slave would like to join in the fall. Gary may be involved too.
