After dinner set out for B. arriving at Mr. Lymeburner's up the Southern Bay; was requested to tarry on account of the sorrowful accident of three persons, Will Cunningham, aged 23, Thomas Hopkins, 20, and J. Lymeburner, 17, being drowned last night in returning from ordination. Eleven others narrowly escaped, they being overset in the same boat. Two of them were much hurt. This morning the bodies of Thomas Hopkins and J. Lymeburner were found.

3. About daybreak passed Cape Ann Lights. 4 o'clock P.M. landed safe at Louis Wharf, Boston. Tarried over night at Col. Popkins.
4. Bought books, etc. Went to Cambridge. Settled with Mr. Tapley and Mr. Popkins. Returned to Boston. Went thence to Roxbury.
